Vivo V40e India launch today: How to watch livestream, expected price and specs

Vivo is preparing to launch a new addition to its V40 series, the Vivo V40e, which is expected to be the most affordable phone in the lineup. The V40e will join the camera-centric Vivo V40 Pro and the standard Vivo V40. While it shares a similar design with the other V40 models, the V40e is likely to come in new color options to differentiate itself. Interestingly, this release follows the launch of the Vivo T3 Ultra in mid-September, which also featured a similar design. Vivo continues to expand its offerings with a focus on design and affordability.

Expected specifications
The Vivo V40e 5G is set to impress with its 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals and smooth scrolling. With up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness and 1,200 nits in high-brightness mode (HBM), users can expect vibrant colors and a premium display experience, similar to previous models in the Vivo V40 series.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, the Vivo V40e 5G promises reliable performance for day-to-day tasks. This chipset, seen in devices like the OPPO Reno12, positions the phone in the Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 price range, offering solid value for money.
Camera enthusiasts will enjoy the phone’s 50 MP Sony IMX882 main sensor, paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, making it perfect for capturing stunning shots. On the front, a 50 MP selfie camera – the same as the one found in the V40 Pro – ensures high-quality, detailed selfies.
Despite its slim design, the V40e 5G houses a powerful 5,500 mAh battery, offering long-lasting use. While the exact charging speed hasn’t been disclosed, the phone’s IP65 rating guarantees water and dust resistance, adding to its durability. It will also run on Android 14, topped with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 14 for a smooth user experience.
The Vivo V40e 5G will come in two stylish color options: Monsoon Green and Royal Bronze, along with two storage configurations: 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB. Expected to launch by the end of the month, the V40e 5G is set to challenge competitors like the OPPO F27 Pro+ and Reno 12, offering premium features at an affordable price.
